  Printers were not functioning for registrations. No updates as to when they would be working. Prior to arrival there was "no wait" Update August 10 Excise tax bill arrived listing the valuation at $29,500 I bought the trailer new for $550 This is a joke. I likely need to go back to this awful place to get the issue resolved. Multiple calls to the DMV and about 6 hours on hold. The most inefficient system ever. Unfortunately they don't allow online submission of supporting documentation nor do they utilize email. MA is known for its educated population, countless colleges, and world class hospitals; unfortunately the state government still operates on an antiquated system. They wonder why the population is contracting - I'm ready to move out of state tomorrow. Note - I rarely (maybe never have) give negative reviews so this is not just the type of person that complains. The multitude of issues that I encountered suggest a systemic issue, not just coincidental bad luck. MA - shame on you

  Went to register a homemade trailer. They require a list of components that were required to construct the trailer, along with how much they cost. When I added them up, I was off by $10. Dmv would not allow me to simply change the total and I was told I needed to reprint the list with the correct amount. This shows the inflexibility and inefficiency of this location. Now I am back again, taking a number, clogging up the system because I want no allowed to simpley correct a mathematical error on a list of parts I bought to make a trailer.

  I brought my daughter to take the written portion of the driving permit test. There are seven computers available but usually only is being used at any given time. The explanation I was given is that there is a single queue for all transactions. In other words if there were ten people queued in front of my daughter for a completely unrelated transaction such as registration renewal, my daughter and others waiting to take the permits test have to wait even though there are at least 6 test stations sitting idle. No one can be as obtuse, so I wonder if this process was established to minimize the number of transactions they have to process daily. The one star I have is for office higiene.
